What's happening at Sagehen?
Day and overnight use of the resource and facilities are permitted. To visit Sagehen, each group, project, or use must:
  1. Complete an on-line use-application; once application is approved by Station Manager...
  2. Read this information prior to arrival. Questions? Try this page.
  3. Agree to, complete, and sign a waiver form for each visitor (Spanish version available, too).
  4. Deliver signed waivers to Station Manager prior to or upon arrival.

Prior to arrival, every visitor to Sagehen Creek Field Station should be familiar with the information available at the following links (unless it is clearly not pertinent to intended station use, i.e. animal use permits, media info). This & other information is also contained in

Animal Research Permits...

UCB Animal Care & Use

Note: Protocol approvals are to be submitted both to the Station Manager and the UC Berkeley Animal Care and Use Committee (ACUC) and approval must be in hand prior to any work beginning!

Other agencies, i.e. US Fish & Wildlife Service, CA Dept. of Fish & Game, etc., may have additional permitting requirements. Researchers are responsible for seeking out & fulfilling these additional requirements. Copies of any additional permits must also be submitted to Sagehen prior to work beginning.
